WHAT DOES LOWER ABV MEAN?
ABV or Alcohol By Volume is a measurement of how much alcohol is in your beverage. This is usually shown on your beverage or product with as a percentage %.
Low ABV or Reduced ABV beverages refer to a lower than normal strength. This means your beers could be as low as 0.5%, wines as low as 5% or, with spirits at 22% or lower, down from the usual 40% standard.
Choosing Low or Reduced ABV products can be a way of cutting down or simply pacing yourself on a big night out. Lower strength products often bring the quality and taste of your usual libations and are a great sustainable, and alternative, approach for the conscientious drinker!
