Apple & Berrissimo Crumble

Apple & Berrissimo Crumble Recipe


For filling

575g Bramley apples (peeled and sliced to 1cm)
2 tbsp caster sugar
50ml Berrissimo

For crumble

100g plain flour
110 golden caster sugar
110g cold butter (sliced)
75g oats


Pre heat your oven to 190c

soak apples and sugar in Berrissimo and stir thoroughly, then place in a baking dish, flattening down with your hand.

Put flour, oats and sugar into a bowl with a pinch of salt. Mix together with your hands until it looks like most breadcrumbs. Shaking to bring any lumps to the surface.

Pour the crumble mix over the filling and flatten with a fork. Place in the oven for 35-40 minutes, until the top is golden and the apples are very soft.

Serving suggestion

This is best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.
