In an exciting announcement this November, Stillgarden Distillery’s Under Pressure Vodka was awarded the prestigious Gold medal at the Irish Whiskey Awards. The event, which was hosted by the Celtic Whiskey Shop, celebrates the best in Irish whiskey and spirits.
Through a blind tasting process carried out by panels from various whiskey clubs and societies throughout Ireland, the entries are fairly evaluated. This year, tasting panels included members from over 10 whiskey societies.
Viki Baird, the founder and “Boss Lady” of Stillgarden Distillery, expressed her joy about the win, saying, “Myself and my fantastic team are delighted to win another Gold Award, this time for our Under Pressure Vodka.”
Crafted through our modern vacuum distillation process, Under Pressure Vodka is a unique tasting experience. By removing oxygen and reducing pressure during distillation, we can extract the purest, lightest elements from the rich, grain-based spirit, producing a vodka that is exceptionally smooth, fresh and slightly sweet. The flavor profile features hints of white pepper and subtle nuances of cereal sweetness. It’s crisp and clean on the palette and leaves a delightful velvety mouthfeel.
In addition to its recent gold win, Under Pressure Vodka previously secured a silver medal at the 2022 London Spirits Awards.
